Forensic deepfake detection, digital forensics and new developments
Deepfake videos are seen more often in practice, and might also appear in the court room. Several questions can be asked, who made the deepfake ? Is the video a deepfake or real ? What part of the video is deepfake. We will focus on forensic questions in criminal proceedings, where also a defense can be that a video was deepfake. In this presentation, we will go further in the process of making deepfakes, and detecting deepfakes. We will go into Artificial Intelligence methods to detect, but also methods by visual inspection, face comparison, PRNU, audio analysis, ENF, heart beat detection and several other methods. The practical assignment is to make a deepfake yourself and detect it with some AI tools on Google CoLab.
